Oppose AB 2017: State Holidays — Eid

Status: Passed 

AB 2017 would add Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha to California’s recognized holidays and allow public schools and community colleges to close in observance of those holidays.

• The new law requires the State Board of Education to create a model curriculum guide for classroom exercises that acknowledge and celebrate the meaning and importance of both holidays. 

•  Authorizes school and community college closures for the holidays.
• Provides reimbursement for certain mandated costs.
• Expands statewide excused absences.
• Creates formal recognition of additional religious observances in taxpayer-funded institutions.

Action:  Telephone the schools in your area. Let administrators know you will hold them accountable if you learn Islamic indoctrination is occurring in the classroom. 

Oppose AB 2624: Stop Nick Shirley Act

Position: Vote No

Status: Passed. Signed into law on August 22^nd.  This law takes effect Oct. 1, 2027.

• This bill restricts investigative journalism and free speech, 
• Making it harder for citizen journalists to document publicly funded activities that may be defrauding taxpayers and the government.

Oppose AB 1540: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — LGBTQ+ Youth

Position: Vote No

Status: Passed and incorporated into the State budget as AB 173

• This law gives the state and school districts the power to direct students through our taxpayer government-mandated school identification cards—to a private organization with a specific LGBTQ+ agenda, the Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is now on the back of every student’s identification card. This is our schools actively promoting an LGBTQ+ lifestyle, by specific organization with a specialized mission.
•   Student ID cards should provide broadly applicable, local school-approved emergency and support resources rather than directing students to a specialized private organization with unknown individuals from 160 countries with 440,000 members whose membership is not inclusive and which dismantles acceptable norms and in light in a spike in child trafficking.

Action: Contact your local schools and demand parental notification and let Sacramento know too that YOU are going to fight back and require PARENTAL NOTIFICATION, now Federal Law as of March 2026, Mirabelli v. Bonta.
