Additional ways that the Americanism Committee activates pride for our fellow citizens:

• Assemble bags for new members which are filled with information about BRWF, patriotic literature, and various promotional items.  
• Vote and present an Americanism Award to the BRWF member who has gone above and beyond to contribute/volunteer to promote the American way of life. 
• Little Patriot Program--this program offers information and literature to engage young students and teach them why we should love, honor and respect the American flag and our country. 
• Collects flags and conducts flag retirement ceremonies to honorably dispose of worn or tattered flags.  
• Participates in the "In God We Trust America, Inc." program.  This endeavor, spearheaded by founder and president, Councilmember Jacquie Sullivan, petitions cities and counties across the country to place the "In God We Trust" motto in their respective council chambers. 
• Supports and promotes the Republican Party booth each year for the Kern County Fair.  Enlists/coordinates BRWF volunteers to register voters and promote Republican values.
