The purpose of the Caring for America program is to change lives and show we care about our community by being a giving and loving organization and proving we can make a difference.   In Kern County we are sponsoring a highway clean-up program, food prep at the local mission, preparing and filling shoeboxes for the residents of the mission, writing out greeting cards to people living in residential care facilities, sponsoring events with Open Door Network, Bakersfield Pregnancy Center and other Kern County non-profit organizations.

We ARE making a difference!  Come join us!

Our Caring for America program is based on the belief that problems can be solved most effectively through the generosity and combined energies of individual citizens.  Our goal is to encourage Republican women to show their compassionate and caring philosophy and that of the Republican Party they are proud to be an integral part of.

In the New Year, our club will continue our efforts in combating human trafficking in our county, and to strengthen current partnerships with Open Door, The Mission of Kern County, Bakersfield Pregnancy Center, City of Bakersfield 'Keep Bakersfield Beautiful' program, Houchin Blood Bank, Kern Long Term Care Ombudsman program, Right to Life Kern County, Wreaths Across America and other charitable organizations.

2025 LITTER PICKUP SCHEDULE

IT'S LITTER PICK UP TIME!

We have partnered with the City of Bakersfield 'Keep Bakersfield Beautiful' program and our adopted street is Cottonwood Road (aka South Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd - exit off of Hwy 58), between East Casa Loma Drive and East White Lane.

To the left is the 2025 Litter Pick up Schedule, so mark your calendars!  We meet at the corner of Cottonwood Road and East White Lane at the date/times noted to the left.  No telling what Mother Nature will be doing, so dress accordingly and bring your gloves; refreshments and garbage bags will be provided.

Join us and register to attend via the EVENTS tab located on the home page; events are in chronological order.  If this will be your first time picking up trash, there is a liability form you’ll need to fill out.   When you register, you will see a link for the liability form, print off two (2) copies, fill both of them out, and bring them with you.   See you out there!
